#3 I would come up with a unique name for this post, but I'm too tired!

Whew! This week was tough! LOTS of homework and a class I helped give to parents at my old middle school kept me up till12:30 last night. I even had to wake up an hour earlier than usual so I only got 6 hours of sleep! I feel like I could pass out. If there is a point in the hero's journey where he feels encouraged to sleep for 25 hours in a row, I am at that point. One could say that I'm in the belly of the beast, but I disagree.  I worked hard to get to New Tech, and I don't like thinking of my challenges here as painful trials. Also, if this is the belly of the beast, this particular beast sure has a LONG belly!

Could this be what the beast looks like!?

Jeez, I said in the last post I probably wouldn't compare my life to the hero's journey, but here I am, yappin' away. maybe it's because i'm tired.

Anyway, the main source of my exhaustion is from good old HW, which is of great supply here at new tech.
SPEAKING of homework, one of the assignments that pushed over the edge of my ability is the reading we are supposed to do out of the book Forbidden City. The I had to wake up and hour early to read it this morning and that was another cause of my zombie-like conscious status. I have a little connection with the character, but it isn't half as good as Inheritance, which I read over the summer. (I've been having a hard time trying to recover from it's awesomeness.) But, it has proved a point I have that not all heroes follow the heroes journey. Alex has found a mentor before going through the main trials. Eragon kind of did the same thing, and Eragon began considering answering the call after he crossed the "Threshold". He didn't even succeed! I can't believe I've went from talking about Forbidden City to Eragon without warning. I got to watch myself with that... Maybe I should start a book-blog?

Anyway, the reading is robbing me of my eagerness, but it isn't the worst of my homework. My digital media teacher is having us color and look up stuff that I find is a little unnecessary and time-consuming. But, hey I can't do much about it except try my best, and you can't say I'm lacking in that!

(This blog was a bit dull, but hey, I got to meet the school criteria EVERY once in a while! Hopefully the next one will be a bit more fun!)
