I was just thinking: If I am on a "hero's journey," why am I taking this journey? I'm not helping anyone here as a freshman except myself. I'm here to learn and get grades that impress colleges after I graduate. Not really a reason a hero goes on an epic. i'm not saving a empire from a terrible tyranny or New York against a super-villain, I'm here by law and for my own good. So unless I am the only person anyone cares about, I'm not being a hero at all! Finishing my first year in high school won't do anything but allow me to be a sophmore! Which takes me back to my first blog, I am going to try and compare other character's lives to the hero's journey and not mine, because they are true heroes; and me: not so much.
